What is a Community Group? Community Groups
are a group of like minded believers who come together weekly or twice monthly to break bread together, Fellowship, to apply God's word, and to pray for each other. To love and care for and encourage one another in Christ. They meet on different nights of the week other than our service times which are on Saturday afternoon/evening, Sunday morning and Wednesday nights.
Our groups follow the Acts 2:42 model of believers gathering together in homes: Acts 2:42 “And they continued steadfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers.”
Typically the Community Groups will follow this order:
Breaking of Bread: When the group meets at the Host's home they typically share food together. The meal is typically arranged by the host and all members participate in its preparation. Eating together always brings forth conversation that leads to...
Fellowship:
That builds relationships, points of connections, that are Christ centered.
The Apostles Teachings:
The Facilitator of each group will lead an application discussion of Pastor Dave's weekend message. The group will discuss how the message applied to them, and the impact of the message on their lives.
Prayer: follows personal application. Prayer that calls upon our Father to make the applications happen in our lives. Prayer for the needs of the group. Prayer that gives thanks for all He has done. |
