Do you have questions about the End Times? Are we in the Last Days? What is the Rapture? Am I  going to be left behind? For answers to these questions and more come join us for a verse by verse study through The Book of Revelation. We are meeting on Sunday Evenings at 6pm at Palmer Ridge High School in Monument. Childcare is available.

The Book of Revelation is one of great importance and debate. Many feel it is impossible to understand due to the vivid imagery that forces a symbolic interpretation of the text that can be seen as subjective. Written in an apocalyptic manner, it follows many of the stylistic practices of the apocalyptic literature found from 200 BC until ca. 200 AD. This literature, written by both Jews and Christians alike, uses symbolism and visions, the mention of angelic mediators, bizarre images, judgment and emphasis on the Kingdom of God and the new heavens and earth. Although these apocalyptic writings are not biblical, as the book of Revelation is, there are distinct differences between these works and the Word of God. The apostle John claims his writings to be a book of prophecy, and his approach is clearly prophetic. He emphasizes the justice of God and the wickedness of man as being keys to understanding the unfolding of history and he makes clear ethical declarations.
